Dr. Oshin’s surgery training includes both an academic and practice general internships at the Royal Veterinary College, University of London and the Long Island Veterinary Specialists, Plainview, New York, respectively. He then went on to an academic and private practice small animal surgery residencies at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Affiliated Veterinary Specialists, Brentwood, Tennessee, respectively. While at the University of Illinois, he obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Veterinary Medicine. After his residency training, he remained at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists, serving as a staff surgeon, and managing a heavy and diverse surgery caseload. Prior to his specialty training, Dr. Oshin had 10 years of general and emergency practice experience.
Dr. Oshin is proficient in all aspects of soft tissue, orthopedic, neurologic, and oncologic surgery. He has special interests in neurologic surgery and sports medicine.
Dr. Oshin is originally from Nigeria. His wife, Bunmi, a pharmacist was born and raised in London, England. They have three sons. Dr. Oshin enjoys outdoor activities, especially playing team sports.
